Harry Potter can go trade his cape because I've found the REAL Invisible Man!
Liu Bolin is a 35 year old artist from Shandong, China. He produces series of contemporary artworks in which he camouflages and photographs himself in various city locations. Bolin works with an assistant to paint his entire body, sometimes taking up to 10 hours to complete a single frame.
Bolin uses his installations to express a modern frustration about not being able to fit in an ever-evolving consumerist society, and protests against the repressive measures of the Chinese government. In 2005, his studio was shut down by the authorities to prevent artists from meeting and working together.
